Bed and Breakfast Holiday Accommodation Exmoor National Park
Whether you are an experienced walker or someone who prefers a short stroll, Exmoor National Park is the ideal place to explore the outdoors on foot. With over 1000km of footpaths and bridleways, through woodlands, by tumbling rivers and on open heather covered moorland, the variety is immense.
Before it was a park, Exmoor was a royal forest and Knapp House was originally built as a hunting lodge in 1907.
Drive in through the ornate stone pillars and you will see we are positioned on a hillside, which offers wonderful views over the countryside, if your a cyclist over 30 miles of the Tarka Trail is available between Braunton and Meeth, using the old railways of North Devon. Passing through the largely unspoilt countryside as it was described by Henry Williamson in his classic novel ‘Tarka the Otter' first published in 1927.
Guests have their own section of the grounds with mature trees, old orchard and wooded area with paths, picnic tables and barbecue to enjoy.
If you have a Horse why not bring your Horse on Holiday too, both stabling and grazing is available.
The house is now a family home, with high quality adjacent holiday lodges for you to enjoy.
The overall feel is charming and welcoming and you will find well-equipped lodges with a lot of attention to detail with a personal touch.
Dave and Erica the owners do not wish to intrude on your privacy, but are always on hand to offer assistance, recommend pubs or restaurants or somewhere to visit if needed.
