A perfect base to explore beautiful Devon and Somerset with its unspoilt scenery, ideal for relaxing and getting away from it all.

Knapp House was originally built as a hunting lodge in 1907 and designed by an architect from the Arts and Crafts movement.

Drive in through the stone pillars and you will see we are positioned on a hill, which offers wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. Guests have their own section of the grounds with mature trees, old orchard and wooded area with paths, picnic tables and barbecue to enjoy.

We enjoy the presence of a lot of wild birds. Our mature rhododendrons and the bluebells in the old orchard give springtime at Knapp House an extra dimension. The house is now our family home, with adjacent holiday lodges for you to enjoy.

The holiday accommodation has been tastefully decorated throughout.

The overall feel is charming and welcoming and you will find well-equipped lodges with a lot of attention to detail with a personal touch.

Dave and Erica the owners do not wish to intrude on your privacy, but are always on hand to offer assistance, recommend pubs or restaurants or somewhere to visit if needed.
